               LOCATION 

We are conveniently located in the heart of West Tennessee about 30 minutes North of Jackson. We are approximately 2 hours Northeast of Memphis and 2 1/2  hours Northwest of Nashville.  We are also within a short driving distance from Missouri, Mississippi, Kentucky, Illinois, Alabama, and Arkansas.

We gladly accept all major credit cards, cash, money orders, and cashier's checks.  We will deliver locally or will work with you to arrange delivery.  We ship USPS, FedEx, and UPS and insure all packages when shipped to you.

Not only is Holmes Bass Violin Shop a great place to find fine instruments, but it's also a great place to find a good deal on college instruments, as well.  Mr. Holmes is a no-nonsense luthier who knows the ins and outs of the musical instrument business.  If you have a chance to stop by his country shop, not only will you have an array of instruments to choose from, but you'll also be able to glean from Holmes experience.  You'll also have the chance to tour his workshop.  Be sure to try out the sound in his awesome upstairs addition.  Finding the right instrument at an affordable price can be a challenge, and Mr. Holmes is keenly aware of this.  He will work with you until you find the right instrument.

Our church needed a good double bass instrument for our Christmas Eve service.  We had a professional bassist driving from another state to play, and he didn't want to bring anything but his bow with him.  I checked with a nearby university who recommended Holmes Bass Viol as a good possibility to get an instrument.  Mr. Holmes very generously supplied us with an instrument and also facilitated our getting and returning the instrument.
